Legacoop Emilia-Romagna continues its commitment to international delegations

Throughout the year, Legacoop Emilia-Romagna will engage with numerous delegations of cooperators from all continents to deepen their understanding of the cooperative movement in Emilia-Romagna and explore the diverse realities of the region.

In March, Legacoop met with 25 young Danish cooperators at Fondazione Barberini who were interested in learning more about the cooperative movement and the association’s initiatives involving young people—such as Coopstartup Bellacoopia and Generazioni—in order to draw inspiration from their most innovative aspects. The delegation then visited the following cooperatives in Bologna: Le Macchine Celibi, Open Group, and Piazza Grande.

The following month, Demetra Formazione, together with Legacoop Emilia-Romagna and Innovacoop, welcomed the cooperative Boris from Poland, which developed a Job Shadowing program focused on promoting cooperative culture among students, young entrepreneurs, and community cooperatives.

In May, a Palestinian delegation coordinated by Legacoop Nazionale was hosted in Bologna with the aim of fostering new collaborations between Palestinian and Italian institutions, thus contributing to strengthening the cooperative sector in the Palestinian Territories.

During the visit, representatives met with several innovative local cooperatives, including Kyez Agency, Indici Opponibili, Agribologna, Cadiai, and many others. A particularly significant moment was the discussion with the University of Bologna centered on the Master’s Degree in Cooperative Economics, with the goal of assessing the potential to replicate it in the Palestinian context.

In the following weeks, Legacoop Emilia-Romagna hosted additional international delegations.
From Brazil, participants of the OPERA Group management program—promoted by the entrepreneurial organization Sebrae Minas Gerais—visited to gain insight into the functioning of the cooperative credit sector, with valuable input from Cooperfidi.

Another international meeting involved the Dutch Council of Cooperatives (NCR), active since 1934 and a key reference point for cooperative enterprises in the Netherlands. A member of Cooperatives Europe and Agriterra, NCR showed particular interest in the regional agri-food sector, visiting major organizations such as Granarolo, Agribologna, CAB Massari, and Progeo.
