First transnational meeting of the SKI.F.T project in Copenhagen
SKI.F.T. – from the Danish word for “change” – is the title of a new transnational initiative which has the objective to support micro and small enterprises in the social economy in becoming more environmentally sustainable in their business models and operational activities.
The project, launched in October 2023, is co-funded by the EU SMP-COSME programme. It brings together social economy intermediary organisations and training providers from Denmark, Poland and Italy, as well as two European networks: Kooperationen (DK), FISE (PL), CSA COESI (IT), Demetra Formazione (IT), Legacoop Emilia-Romagna (IT), REVES aisbl and CECOP.
The first transnational meeting took place on 5 December 2023 in Copenhagen, organised by the project leader Kooperationen, the Danish Organisation of Cooperatives. The event allowed the partnership to define the next activities, focusing on the specific needs of micro and small enterprises in the social economy, as well as on the development of common methodologies that partners can use to implement advisory and coaching services.
The results of an initial survey, conducted prior to the meeting, highlighted the difficulties that micro and small enterprises in the social economy face in terms of sustainability and green transition, highlighting in particular:
- lack of knowledge and know-how;
- difficulties in finding adequate financing opportunities;
- lack of time to participate in consulting and training sessions.
The upcoming transnational online and in-person meetings will allow partners to exchange best practices and insights on existing support tools with the common goal of fostering the green transition of small and micro enterprises in the social economy.
