Bologna, 24 April 2024 – Bologna hosts the SKI.F.T. (Skills for Transition) project.
Legacoop Emilia-Romagna and Demetra Formazione hosted the various European delegations of the project partners, which was designed to support micro and small social economy enterprises in improving their business models and making their activities more environmentally sustainable.
During the two days in Bologna, a training programme was defined, consisting of consulting and coaching activities to support the environmental transition of micro and small social economy enterprises facing challenging obstacles, especially due to a lack of skills, know-how and financial resources. The training needs and requirements of the enterprises were gathered through a survey at the start of the project.
‘Developing the social economy is one of the objectives of the cooperative movement, because it means greater equity, social cohesion and a competitive region,’ explained Daniele Montroni, president of Legacoop Emilia-Romagna, opening the SKI.F.T conference in Bologna. ‘Emilia-Romagna is a region with a strong cooperative tradition and can serve as an example for other regions in Europe, but our participation in transnational calls for proposals is particularly useful in providing our members, especially small cooperatives, with the tools they need to play a leading role in the transition. This will create opportunities to offer better conditions to members, create quality jobs and generate wealth for communities.’
Through SKI.F.T, the project partners will provide consulting and coaching services to micro and small social economy enterprises, enabling them to review their business models towards greater economic and environmental sustainability.
In addition, beneficiary enterprises will have the opportunity to receive direct financial support for the purchase of additional coaching and mentoring services that meet their specific needs and areas of interest.
The cooperatives in Emilia-Romagna currently involved in the project are: La Lumaca and La Città Verde.
