Tice: a social cooperative advancing ecological and digital transition through SKI.F.T.

Tice is a social cooperative (ONLUS) based in Piacenza operating in the fields of services, training, and psychological research. The cooperative is composed of a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychotherapists, educators, and health professionals.

As part of the SKI.F.T. project, Tice undertook a capacity-building journey aimed at supporting the cooperative’s ecological and digital transition, structured around two main focus areas: the digitalization of services and environmental communication.

• Digitalization of educational and therapeutic services

In collaboration with DegenLab, a digital strategy and development agency, Tice began designing a digital platform for the remote delivery of educational and therapeutic services, specifically tailored to the needs of neurodivergent students.

This initiative enabled the cooperative to: define accessible and functional digital architecture, initiate the dematerialization of administrative processes (e.g. appointment scheduling, clinical reporting, communication) and progressively reduce paper usage, promoting more sustainable document management.

• Environmental Communication and Awareness

The second area of focus involved SpazioUau, an agency specialized in ethical communication, to design and implement an environmental awareness strategy targeting families, schools, and the broader community.

Key activities included: educational workshops on sustainability and the psychological benefits of connecting with nature; the creation of narrative and visual content for outreach; and a social media campaign highlighting the psychological advantages of nature-based experiences.

• Nature-Based Education and Inclusion

In parallel, Tice launched an integrated project in collaboration with a provider specialized in school inclusion, aimed at developing a new area of therapeutic and educational intervention in natural settings. This initiative, designed for children with autism, seeks to: use the natural environment as a learning context and reduce reliance on energy-intensive physical infrastructure, promoting more sustainable and inclusive educational practices.

The capacity-building activities carried out under the SKI.F.T. project have had a direct and measurable impact on Tice’s ecological transition. Furthermore, they have contributed to fostering a more conscious, innovative, and future-oriented organizational culture.

The project was funded by Legacoop Emilia-Romagna with a contribution of €6,700 and supported by Demetra Formazione.
